Sunrisers Hyderabad VS. Lucknow Super Giants: we saw a battle between lucknow supergiants under the captaincy of KL Rahul and Sunrisers Hyderabad under the captaincy of Kane Williamson. 

Though  Lucknow SuperGiants did not  have a good start. The captain cool KL Rahul and Deepak Hodda steadied the ship and helped  Lucknow Super Giants  to post a competitive total of 169. Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane willamson hit some beautiful shots but Avesh Khan, the new sensation had the last laugh. Sunrisers Hyderabad hopes were still alive when Nicholas Pooran was on fire. He was hitting the ball with great intent and results followed and was well supported by Washington Sundar. But with Nicholas Pooran  getting out it needed some sort of magic for Sunrisers Hyderabad to win even Sunrisers Hyderabad owner  Kavya Maran could be seen crying in the stadium after Nicholas Pooran’s wicket.

Rajasthan Royals VS. Royal Challengers Bangalore: It was a match between  Royal Challengers Bangalore led by Faf DUplessis and Rajasthan Royals led by Sanju Samson. 

This match was a perfect example of how in cricket the game is lost only when you stop trying. Nowadays Dinesh Kartik is called the new finisher. The way he handles the pressure is just amazing. It is heartening to see cricketers like him evolve in the IPL. The manner in which he is playing, if he continues to do so he would definitely earn himself a place in the t20 squad for the world cup.

 All was not lost for Rajasthan Royals they had a lot of positives as well Jos Buttler and Shimren Hetmyer played a good innings. Yuzvendra Chahal was playing against a team that  he played for seven seasons. All eyes were on him. He was largely responsible for the RCB collapse. He forced an error from Faf du Plessis (29), who mistimed a leg break to be caught at long-on, before cleaning up left-hander David Willey (0) with a classical leg-break. Chahal also affected the run out of Virat Kohli (5) after a brilliant take and throw from Royals skipper Sanju Samson. You could see Chahals wife dancing and celebrating her husband’s success and cheering for him.

 But  eventually a fantastic batting display by Dinesh Kartik led to Royal Challengers Bangalore victory.

RESULT: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets

Kolkata Knight Riders VS Mumbai Indians:  It was a match between Kolkata Knight Riders led by Captain Shreyas Iyer and  Mumbai Indians led by captain Rohit Sharma.

The match was under the control of Mumbai Indians but an excellent batting performance by Pat Cummins was the game changer. It was his first match in IPL 2022 and when asked about his innings he said it was very satisfying. Though he was surprised by his batting himself. Venkatesh Iyer also played an important anchor role.

Though Mumbai Indians were all set to hit the winning button in this match but Pat Cumins innings blew the thought of winning for Mumbai Indians. For Mumbai Indians at least a fifty made by Suryakumar helped them to reach a respectable score.

RESULT: Lucknow Super Giants beat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets

Player of the Match:  Quinton de Kock ( Lucknow Super Giants).

Lucknow Super Giants VS. Delhi Capitals: Lucknow Supergiants under the captaincy of KL Rahul and Delhi Capitals under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant were all set to play.

 It was a splendid display of bowling to restrict the Delhi Capitals hard hitting batsmen for 149. For Delhi Capitals Prithvi Shaw did well for his 50 but his efforts were in vain.  Rishabh Pant tried hard but they were 10-15 runs short. It was a sensational three consecutive wins for Lucknow Super Giants by Badoni who is a young super talent for India.

Punjab Kings VS. Gujrat Titans: Gujrat Titans under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya were ready to take over Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal.

 Punjab kings had a good start with the bat. Their star was Liam Living Stone who scored the second fastest fifty.

With some  useful contributions Punjab Kings managed to put 189 on board. It was a very close match with the match going down the wire. It was Shubman Gill 96 that settled the nerves for Gujarat Titans. Even though Subhman Gill missed his century, he had played a good role in laying the foundation for Gujarat Titans.

There was high voltage drama when Hardik Pandya got run out leaving everybody to think Gujrat Titans would lose this match .

And in  the last over we saw  the heroics of Rahul Tewati who, being young, kept his cool and finished the game by hitting 2 sixes in 2 balls.

Gujarat Titans were overjoyed and their celebrations showed it all. It was a match which went down the wire and Rahul Tewatia’s heroics helped his  team to be on the winning side. There were celebrations all around.

Chennai Super KingsVS. Sunrisers Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad led by captain Kane Williamson was ready to take over Chennai Super Kings on a saturday afternoon.

  It  was Chennai Super Kings batting. They never looked in touch. At the end, it was a Ravindra Jadeja show as he punished Natarajan for missing his yorker by mere inches twice, and Bhuvneshwar conceded wides in the last over in an attempt to stay away from the reach of the batters. Twenty-nine came off the last two overs to give Super Kings some hope. They had a fighting total of 154. They needed some good bowling in the powerplay but they restricted the Sunrisers Hyderabad but they failed to take wickets in the powerplay. Abhishesk Sharma played a match winning innings of 75 of 50 and was supported well by Rahul Tripathi.

Mumbai Indians started well. With their skipper Rohit Sharma getting off the mark with a boundary and Ishan Kishan continuing his form.Rohit Sharma wrapped the powerplay with a four as MI were 49-0 after 6 overs. Just the perfect start to boost morale. But some good catches and a run out brought Royal Challengers Bangalore back into the game. Mumbai Indians were losing wickets at regular intervals. However, Surya Kumar Yadav brought Mumbai Indians back into the game.

Unadkat supported Suryakumar well with the bat with two fours. MI hammered 23 runs in the penultimate over, which included three exquisite sixes as the fifty was up for Suryakumar Yadav. The right-handed batter finished the innings in style with a maximum as MI posted a competitive total of 151-6 in the first innings. Anuj Rawat’s assured 66(47) at the top helped RCB chase down the target with ease.

RCB scored 30 in the powerplay but didn’t lose any wicket inside the first six overs. It was a perfect example of how to chase runs. The Rcb timed their chase to perfection. In the match when Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat were batting , Anuj Rawat hit a six and when Rohit Sharma was setting the field one Mumbai Indians fan came to meet Rohit Sharma as per protocol Rohit Sharma could not hug that fan but he won the heart of many by giving an air hug to the fan. Virat Kohli too was happy with this gesture.
