Mr. Dependable, Ishan Kishan, was out by Moeen Ali soon after, and now the England bowlers were on top. Deepak Hooda and Surya Kumar Yadav were batting well together. They were rebuilding a partnership for India. But Deepak Hooda, in order to up the ante, got out to Tymal Mills and the match was evenly poised as India were losing wickets regularly but their net run rate was high in spite of wickets falling. Surya Kumar Yadav was out for 39, but he had set the platform for India. Hardik Pandya looked in great touch. Hardik Pandya was looking to smash the ball to all parts of the ground and was well supported by Axar Patel, who made a good contribution of 17 runs in just 12 balls before getting out. It looked as if Pandya was batting on some different surface. He was just too good for England’s bowling. Hardik Pandya made a half century, but soon after making a half century, he got out. With some quick runs by Dinesh Kartik at the end, India managed to score 198 runs on the board. England needed a good start from their openers, Jason Roy and Jos Buttler. India vs. England: It was a very important match for the England team led by Captain Jos Buttler if they had to win the series and a very important match for the Indians to seize yet another series under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. England won the toss and elected to bowl first. We had Rishabh Pant opening the batting with Rohit Sharma. In the first over itself, we had the hitman going with a magnificent six. Both Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma were smashing. But the bouncer once again did the trick for England and England took the wicket of Rohit Sharma. After losing Surya Kumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya in quick succession, the Indian scorecard read 89-5 and they needed some good partnerships to put up a competitive total on the board. Dinesh Kartik and Ravindra Jadeja were looking good, but Dinesh Kartik unfortunately got run out. But a good innings of 46 runs by Ravindra Jadeja and some hard hitting by Harshal Patel in the end helped India to put a competitive score of 170 runs on the board.
England started their run chase and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the wicket on the first ball and India had a great start to the match. Then, an excellent review by India to dismiss their Captain Jos Buttler and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s magical spell continued. Wickets were falling until Moeen Ali came. He was playing good cricket. Chahal took the all important wicket of David Mallan and brought India back into the game. Some excellent bowling and catches ensured India won the match comfortably and were 2-0 in the series and won the series.
