Match 56 : Mumbai Indians VS.  Kolkata Knight Riders

RESULT:  Kolkata Knight Riders won by 52 runs

Mumbai Indians VS.  Kolkata Knight Riders: It was a match played between Mumbai Indians led by Captain Rohit Sharma and Kolkatta Knight Riders led by Captain Shreyas Iyer. Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer, the opening batsman  for Kolkatta Knight Riders, were looking in great touch. They dominated the innings right from the word go. When both the batsmen were looking dangerous Venkatesh Iyer perished. But the platform was set for Kolkatta Knight Riders. Nitish Rana was also looking good. After Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer also got out quickly and now pressure was on Kolkatta Knight Riders. Some fantastic Captaincy by Rohit Sharma he got Jasprit Bumrah back into the attack and then Bumrah also known as the yoker king not only dismissed the muscle power Andrew Russel but it was Bumrah show and he took 5 wickets and conceded just 5 runs. This was the best of his spell t20 career and Kolkatta Knight Riders managed to score 165 runs.

Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan were all set to play for Mumbai Indians but Rohit Sharma could not last long. Tilak Verma tried to stabilize the innings along with Ishan Kishan but he too could not make a major impact. Ishan Kishan was looking in good touch in this match but was losing partners at the other end. Tim David hit 3 fours in a row and released some pressure from Mumbai Indians. But after his dismissal and regular wickets Mumbai Indians lost the match.

Match 57 : Lucknow Super Giants VS. Gujrat Titans

RESULT:  Gujarat Titans won by 62 Runs

Lucknow Super Giants VS. Gujrat Titans: It was a match Played between Lucknow Super Giants led by Captain  KL Rahul and Gujarat Titans led by Captain Hardik Pandya. Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bat first. Wriddhiman Saha and Shubhman Gill came to open the innings. But Wriddhiman Saha got out early. Moshin Khan was on fire; he took 2 quick wickets of Gujrat Titans and put Gujarat Titans on the backfoot. Hardik Pandya and Shubhman Gill were batting well but Hardik Pandya got out and Lucknow Super Giants were at the top of their game. David Miller was looking in good touch. He along with Shubhman Gill made a partnership of 50 runs and he got out but the platform was already set. Some great bowling by Lucknow SuperGiants restricted Gujrat Titans run flow but it was looking as if Shubhmman Gill was batting on another surface only. He completed his half century and as a result helped Gujrat Titans to put 144 runs on the board.

The opening partnership did not last long. Quinton de Cock as well as KL Rahul  perished early. Some great bowling by Gujarat Titans put the pressure on Lucknow SuperGiants.  It was a very poor batting performance by lucknow SuperGiants and they were bowled out cheaply for 82 runs.

RESULT:  Delhi Capitals won by 8 wickets

Rajasthan Royals VS. Delhi Capitals: It was a match played between Rajasthan Royals led by Captain  Sanju Samson and Delhi Capitals led by Captain Rishabh Pant. Rishabh Pant won the toss and elected to bowl first. All eyes were on Jos Buttler as he is scoring runs at will in this season. But he did not  trouble the scorers much. Ashwin was sent as a pinch hitter. While wickets were going at the other end Ashwin was striking the ball very well. Devdutt Padikkal joined Ashwin and both of them were striking the ball very well. Meanwhile Ashwin completed his half century.

 But Ashwin immediately got out after scoring a half century. Devdutt Padikkal played some good shots in the end and helped Rajasthan Royals to score 160 runs. In such matches you need a good start. But Delhi lost their opener Shikhar Bharat at a duck. Mitchell Marsh and David Warner almost took Delhi Capitals till the end and Delhi Capitals won the match.

Chennai Super Kings VS. Mumbai Indians: It was a match played between Chennai Super Kings led by Captain MS Dhoni and Mumbai Indians led by Captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Rituraj Gaikwad and Devonconway had come to open the innings. Both of them were in good form. But Daniel Sams dismissed Devon Conway on a duck. Then Daniel sams took the wicket of Moeen Ali also at  zero. It was a big blow for Chennai Super Kings. Some great bowling by Mumbai Indians and some excellent captaincy by Rohit Sharma led to the regular fall of wickets of Chennai Super Kings. Captain cool Ms. Dhoni tried his level best to get Chennai Super Kings to a respectable score but he could not as Mumbai Indians bowlers were too hot for Chennai Super Kings and Dhoni was not getting any support from the other end. As a result Chennai Super Kings got all out at 97 with MS dhoni being the highest scorer. He scored 36 runs. As you know in cricket low totals can be catchy. Mumbai Indians in order to win the match without any hiccups needed a good partnership but they lost Ishan Kishan early. Rohit Sharma was looking in great touch but in spite of getting a good start he could not convert that start. Mumbai Indians were almost 33 for 4. But as you say in low total matches you just need one partnership and Tilak Verma and Hrithik Shooken almost finished the game for Mumbai Indians. When Hrithik Shooken got out the platform was set for Mumbai Indians to win and Mumbai Indians won the match comfortably.

Royal Challengers Bangalore VS. Punjab Kings: It was a match played between Royal Challengers Bangalore led by Captain Faf du Plessis and Punjab Kings led by Captain Mayank Agarwal. Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first. The opening pair of Punjab Kings Shikhar Dhawanand Jonny Bairstow  were dominating the bowlers right from the start. They had a 50 run partnership and just when the pair was looking to take the game away Shikhar Dhawan got out. Jonny Bairstow was on fire; he was striking the ball like a bullet. Then Liam Living Stone, known for his hard hitting batting joined hands with Jonny Bairstow  scored a half century.

 Mohammed Siraj took his wicket. But the platform was set. Liam LivingStone also scored a half century. As a result Punjab Kings were able to put a massive total of 209 runs on the board. Royal Challengers Bangalore needed a good opening start. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis were batting well. Virat Kholi was looking in good touch but he could not capitalize and got out. Some excellent bowling performance by Punjab kings who never allowed any batsmen to settle. They were taking regular wickets and as  a result  punjab Kings won the match with a huge margin of 54 runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders VS. Sunrisers Hyderabad: It was a match played between Kolkata Knight Riders led by Captain Shreyas Iyer and Sunrisers Hyderabad led by Captain Kane Williamson. Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat and they were losing wickets at regular intervals. Umran Malik was bowling very well. Then there was Andre Russell who took the game away from Sunrisers Hyderabad and with his hard hitting and some valuable contributions from Sam Billings and Ajinkya Rahane at the bottom Kolkata Knight Riders managed to post a fighting total of 177 runs. Sunrisers Hyderabad needed a good start. Kane WilliamSon perished early but Abhishesk Sharma was looking in great form but he was losing partners at the other end.

Aiden Markram supported Abhishesk Sharma quite well but Andrew Russell could not do anything wrong for Kolkata Knight Riders and as a result  Kolkata Knight Riders won the match with a huge margin of 54 runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders VS. Sunrisers Hyderabad: It was a match played between Chennai Super Kingsled by Captain MS Dhoni and Gujrat Titans led by Hardik Pandya. It was a super sunday match. MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first. Devon Conway and Rituraj Gaikwad, two openers who are in great form this IPL came to open the innings.

But some superb bowling led to the dismissal of Devon Conway. Moeen Ali and Rituraj Gaikwad tried to bail Chennai Super Kings out and were batting with great determination. But then some great bowling led to the dismissal of Moeen Ali. Rituraj Gaikwad completed his half century. But he got out and Gujrat Titans did good death over bowling they managed to contain the Chennai Super Kings team for 133 runs. The two opening batsmen for Gujarat Titans Shubhman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha were looking in great touch. Both of them looked dangerous. But when They were looking to take the game away from Chennai Super Kings Shubhman Gill perished. Matthew Wade and Hardik Pandya got out in quick succession and gave Chennai Super Kings a fair chance but David Miller and Wriddhiman Saha took the game away from Chennai Super Kings  and as a result Gujarat Titans won the match with 7 wickets in hand.

Kolkata Knight Riders VS. Sunrisers Hyderabad: It was a match played between Lucknow Super Giants led by Captain KL Rahul and Rajasthan Royals led by Captain  Sanju Samson. Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bat  first. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal had come to open the innings for Rajasthan Royals. But Jos Buttler who is the run getter this tata IPL 2022 could not last long and lost his wicket early. But Yashavi Jaiswal was looking in great touch. He was smashing the ball. Meanwhile Sansu Samson and Yashavi Jaiswal completed a half century stand for Rajasthan Royals. Jason Holder dismissed Sanju Samson . But the platform was set for Rajasthan Royals. Ayush Badoni was introduced into the attack and he took the all important wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal. There was regular fall of wickets as a result Rajasthan Royals managed to put 178 runs on the board. Quinton De Cock and KL Rahul were batting well but Trent bolt took the wicket of Quinton De Cock . Ayush Badoni was sent up the order but got out for zero. Deepak Hooda came to bat and he batted very well. He completed his half century.

Though Marcus Stonis and Krunal Pandya tried hard but in the end because of great bowling Rajasthan Royals won the match by 24 runs.
