RESULT:  Delhi Capitals won by 17 runs

Punjab Kings VS. Delhi Capitals: It was a match played between Punjab Kings led by Captain Mayank Agarwal and Delhi Capitals led by Captain Rishabh Pant. Mayank Agarwal  won the toss and elected to bowl first. David Warner, the star player of Delhi Capitals was out on a golden duck. Mitchell Marsh was in great touch. He was scoring boundaries for Delhi Capitals. Sarfaraz Khan and Mitchell Marsh  were dominating the Punjab Kings bowling. When both of them were looking dangerous and when they were looking to take away the game from Punjab Kings Sarfaraz Khan got out. After that Liam Livingstone was bowling a wonderful spell and as a result Delhi Capitals were losing wickets regularly. Mitchell Marsh completed his half century.

But Kagiso Rabada bowled an excellent 19 th over by taking the all important wicket of Mitchell Marsh and just conceded 3 runs. Thereby Delhi Capitals managed to score 159 runs. Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Baristow started the Punjab Kings innings on a high note but in order to improve the scoring rate jonny Baristow perished. But the turning point was when Shardul Thakur got 2 wickets including that of dangerous Shikhar Dhawan. After that though Punjab kings had small partnerships but regular fall of wickets led to their downfall and as a result  Punjab Kings lost the match by 17 runs.

Match 65: Mumbai Indians VS. Sunrisers Hyderabad

RESULT:  Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 3 runs

Player of the Match: Rahul Tripathi ( Sunrisers Hyderabad)

Mumbai Indians VS. Sunrisers Hyderabad: It was a match played between Mumbai Indians led by Captain Rohit Sharma and Sunrisers Hyderabad led by Captain Kane Williamson. It was a nail bitter match. Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Abhishek sharma and Priyam Garg were the openers for Sunrisers Hyderabad. But they lost their inform batsman Abhishek sharma early. Priyam Garg and Rahul Tripathi were dominating the Mumbai Indian’s bowling attack and they did not  let the pressure on their batting after the fall of their star batsman Abhishek sharma . Though Priyam Garg got out, the platform was set for  Sunrisers Hyderabad. Nicholas Pooran and Rahul Tripathi started playing some wonderful shorts and they were dominating the Mumbai Indians bowlers. But some good bowling by Ramandeep Singh ensured Sunrisers Hyderabad were restricted under 200. They managed to score 193 runs. Mumbai Indians needed a good start from their opening partners and Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma were successful in giving that start. Hitman was looking in great touch and one thought he was back. But in order to up the scoring rate he got out on 48 runs. Even Ishan Kishan could not survive long as Umran Malik had the last laugh. Umran Malik was on fire. He took 3 wickets and brought Sunrisers Hyderabad back into the match. Tim David was playing like a warrior for Mumbai Indians and was running out of partners. The turning point of the game was when in order to farm strike Tim David got runout . Mumbai Indians tried hard but lost the match by just 3 runs.

Match 66: Kolkata Knight Riders VS. Lucknow Super Giants

RESULT:  Lucknow Super Giants won by 2 runs

Player of the Match: Quinton De Cock ( Lucknow Super Giants)

Kolkata Knight Riders VS. Lucknow Super Giants: It was a match played between Kolkata Knight Riders led by Captain Shreyas Iyer and Lucknow Super Giants led by Captain KL Rahul. KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bat first. Quinton de Cock and KL Rahul were the openers for Lucknow Super Giants and they were looking in good touch. They were dominating the  Kolkata Knight Riders team right from the word go. Both KL Rahul and Quinton de Cock completed their half centuries in quick time. It was a superb innings by both the batsmen who batted till the twentieth over and Quinton de Cock made 140 runs and an emotional moment happened when Quinton de Cock completed his century and he got emotional. His wife was sitting in the stands and in order to acknowledge his century his wife raised her child in the air.

They managed to score 210 runs. Kolkata Knight Riders needed a good start but Ventatesh Iyer got out early  and his opener partner also got out. Now Lucknow super Giants were all over Kolkata Knight Riders. Nitish Rana and captain Shreyas Iyer were looking in good touch. Nitish Rana in order to up the ante got out while Shreyas Iyer scored a half century. But got out immediately after scoring a half century. Pressure was back on Kolkata Knight Riders. Rinku Singh and Andre Rusell were batting and the game was in balance. It could be anybody’s game. But then Mossin khan turned the game around in Lucknow SuperGiants favor and everybody thought the match was over. But the match is not lost till the last ball is bowled. Rinku Singh played the innings of his life but in the end it was Lucknow Super Giants who won.

Match 67: Royal Challengers Bangalore VS. Gujrat Titans

RESULT:  Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 8 wickets

Royal Challengers Bangalore VS. Gujrat Titans: It was a match played between Royal Challengers Bangalore led by Captain Faf du Plessis and Gujrat Titans led by Captain Hardik Pandya. Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bat. In the power play the Royal Challengers Bangalore were balling great spells and taking wickets in quick succession and thus putting pressure on Gujrat Titans. Though there were few contributions, the only standout innings for Gujarat Titans in this match was from their Captain Hardik Pandya who scored 62 runs and thereby helping Gujrat Titans to score 168 runs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore needed a good start from their openers Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis. Both of them were looking in great touch and as you know form is temporary but class is permanent. King Kholi was back. Rashid Khan took two wickets but Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match quite comfortably. Virat Kohli was quite emotional after getting the Man of the match award.

RESULT:  Rajasthan Royals won by 5 wickets

Rajasthan Royals VS. Chennai Super Kings: It was a match played between Rajasthan Royals led by Captain Sanju Samson and Chennai Super Kings led by Captain MS Dhoni. MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first. Mooen Ali was the only batsman who scored runs and some useful contributions by MS Dhoni and Devon Conway helped Chennai Super Kings to reach a total of 150 runs. Chennai Super Kings started their bowling very well by dismissing the run machine Jos Buttler early and Devdutt Padikkal early. They were in the game but some excellent batting performance by AShwin helped Rajasthan Royals to win the match.

Match 69 : Mumbai Indians VS. Delhi Capitals

RESULT:  Mumbai Indians won by 5 wickets

Mumbai Indians VS. Delhi Capitals: It was a match played between Mumbai Indians led by Captain Rohit Sharma and Delhi Capitals led by Captain Rishabh Pant. Royal Challengers Bangalore were supporting Mumbai Indians as if they had to qualify for the playoffs then they needed Mumbai Indians to win. For Delhi Capitals it was a crucial match as in order to qualify for the playoffs they needed a win against Mumbai Indians. Though Mumbai Indians were playing but this time the Royal Challengers Bangalore supporters were cheering for Mumbai Indians and they wanted Mumbai Indians to win. Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Delhi Capital openers David Warner and Prithvi Shaw opened the innings for Delhi Capitals. But David Warner got out early. This was a big blow for the Delhi Capitals. And Mitcheel Marsh too got out early thus Mumbai Indians bowling was showing great impact on Delhi Capitals. Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw were looking to take the game away from Mumbai Indians then courtesy of good captaincy by Rohit Sharma who brought Bumrah back into the attack . He took the wicket of Prithvi Shaw. Rishabh Pant and Rovman Powell were striking the ball well and made a 50 run partnership. But as they say in partnerships it is usually seen after a long partnership when one batsman gets out the other too gets out. Same thing happened when Rishabh Pant and  Rovman Powell got out in quick succession and Mumbai Indians were able to restrict the DElhi Capitals team for 159 runs. Mumbai Indians needed a good start but Rohit Sharma got out. Ishan Kishan was looking in good touch. Dewald Brevis was supporting Ishan Kishan well. But then Ishan Kishan got out and Delhi Capitals could see a ray of hope. When Dewald Brevis  got out the required run rate was very high. But Tim David had other ideas. He just smashed the balls to all parts of the stadium and as a result Mumbai Indians won the match. After Mumbai Indians winning the match one team that was most happy and was seen celebrating was Royal Challengers Bangalore.

RESULT:   Punjab Kings won by 5 wickets

Player of the Match: Harpreet Brar ( Punjab Kings)

Sunrisers Hyderabad VS. Punjab Kings: It was a match played between Sunrisers Hyderabad led by Captain Bhuvneshvar Kumar  and Punjab Kings led By Captain Mayank Agarwal. Bhuvneshvar Kumar won the toss and elected to bat first. Priyam Garg got out early. Abhishekh Sharma was looking in good touch. Rahul Tripathi was looking in good touch. But in order to up the anti he got out. Abhishekh Sharma was looking in very good touch. But Harpreet Brar was bowling superb. He had the last laugh. In the end some great batting by Washinton Sundar and Romario Shepherd helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to post a fighting total of 157 runs. Jonny Baristow and Shikhar Dhawan started the innings well for Punjab Kings . When Jonny Baristow  got out the platform was set for  Sunrisers Hyderabad. But Shahrukh Khan got out early and pressure was on  Sunrisers Hyderabad . Mayank Agarwal got hit by Umran Malik and he was lying on the floor. Everybody was scared. But then he showed great fighting spirit by getting up and playing but he got out.

Then came the star of Punjab Kings Liam Livingstone and then it was all his show. He took away the match from Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings won the last league match and thus ending the IPL tournament with some sweet winning memories.
