Singhvi Online brings to you the live updates of the IPL match 36 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The match is being played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

RCB won the toss and chose to bat first. Their opening pair of Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli got off to a steady start, putting up a partnership of 53 runs in 8 overs. Padikkal was the first to go, caught by KKR captain Shubman Gill off the bowling of Varun Chakravarthy for 26 runs.

Kohli, who has been struggling for form this season, continued to bat cautiously and was eventually dismissed for 36 runs by KKR’s mystery spinner Sunil Narine. AB de Villiers, who has been in good form this season, came to the crease and started playing his shots from the very beginning. He was well supported by Glenn Maxwell, who played some brilliant shots all around the ground.

The RCB innings got a boost towards the end, with de Villiers hitting some big sixes and finishing with an unbeaten 74 off just 39 balls. Maxwell played a cameo of 36 runs off 18 balls, as RCB finished their innings with a total of 186/4.

Gill was the first to go, caught by Mohammed Siraj off the bowling of Harshal Patel for just 9 runs. Rana was dismissed soon after, caught by Kyle Jamieson off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal for 13 runs.

KKR captain Eoin Morgan came to the crease and started playing his shots right from the start. He was well supported by Rahul Tripathi, who played a brilliant innings of 56 off just 34 balls. Morgan played some big shots towards the end of the innings and finished with an unbeaten 63 off just 38 balls.

However, it was not enough as KKR fell short of the target by 38 runs, finishing their innings at 148/4. RCB’s bowlers did a fine job, with Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal picking up a wicket each and conceding just 22 and 28 runs respectively in their four overs.
