 Gujrat Titans VS. Lucknow Super Giants: For the first time in IPL there were two new teams competing in the Tata IPL 2022 for the first time. Gujrat titans having Hardik Pandya as their captain and KL Rahul as  Lucknow Super Giants captain.

 It was a close encounter. While Gujrat Titans were batting it was all about Mohammed Shami’s show he rattled the top order.

 But Gujrat Titans had a comeback in the match with back to back fifties by Deepak Hodda and Ayush Badoni. The turning point was when Krunal Pandya took the wicket of Hardik Pandya. It was for the first time the Pandya brothers were playing in different teams. Krunal pandya was having mixed reactions. He didn’t celebrate. Nasta’s reaction was that she was angry on Pandyas shot selection.

 This is what IPL is all about having healthy competition among brothers too. Another highlight of the match was Subhman’s Gills flying catch. The way he took the catch was taken by him it was   as if he was a spiderman. 

 In the end it was all about the team holding better nerves and it was Gujrat Titans who kept their nerves thereby finishing on the winning side.

Match 5:  Sunrisers Hyderabad VS. Rajasthan Royals

Date:  29.3.2022

Venue: MCA Stadium, Pune

RESULT: Rajasthan Royals win by 61 runs

Sunrisers Hyderabad VS. Rajasthan Royals: Sunrisers Hyderabad team was led by Kane  Williamson  and Rajasthan Royals was led by Sanju Samson. 

 It was a clinical performance by Rajasthan Royals. They completely trashed Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was a one sided game. We all know when the captain of the team plays the confidence of the team is at another level. Well it was a captain’s innings by Sanju Samson who eventually won player of the match.

 It was the bowling of Rajasthan Royals which made sure 200+ total was not achievable. Also Sunrisers Hyderabad registered the lowest score in the powerplay of IPL history thus making it almost impossible to recover. Moreover, as the  losing captain said, taking a wicket on a no ball never helps.

Match 6:   Royal Challengers Bangalore VS. Kolkata Knight Riders

RESULT: Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 3 wickets

Royal Challengers Bangalore VS. Kolkata Knight Riders: The Royal Challengers Bangalore  led by Faf du plesis were up against Kolkata Knight Riders led by Shreyas Iyer.

 It was a low scoring match. Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bowl first. It was an amazing bowling performance by Kolkata Knight Riders. But Wanindu Hasaranga stood out as a bowler for Kolkata Knight Riders.

 Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to score only 128 runs. How often have we seen teams with low totals defending targets well. Kolkata Knight Riders could not find any momentum in the beginning. It was an outstanding bowling performance by Tim Southee but his efforts went in vain. As we say when the chips are down we often find a hero and what a fantastic finishing touch was given by Dinesh Kartik who blew out all the winning speculations of Kolkata Knight Riders.

RESULT: Lucknow Super Giants  beat Chennai Super Kingsby 6 wickets

Player of the Match: Evin Lewis ( Lucknow Super Giants ).

Lucknow Super Giants VS. Chennai Super Kings: Lucknow SuperGiants led by KL Rahul  registered their first win after defeating Chennai Super Kings led by MS Dhoni by 3 wickets.

 It was a batting thriller with 4’s and 6’s all over the place. The tempo was set by

while Shivam Dube and Moeen Ali also played handy cameos to take CSK past the 200-run mark. Lucknow super giants had a giant total to surpass. They needed 211 to win. It was a fine batting display by Lucknow SuperGiants Evin Lewis and Quinton de Kock who scored 50’s while KL Rahul also played a fine cameo at the top of the innings. The crowd witnessed something which is what IPL is known for: cricket and bollywood coming together. In the 7th over of Lucknow Supergiants, KL Rahul hit a six he looked at his girlfriend Athiya Shetty in the stands and gave her a flying kiss and she too was very excited and she gave a standing ovation and started jumping.

Ayush Badoni sealed the chase in style with a maximum to power the Super Giants to their first-ever victory in the tournament.

Match 8:   Kolkata Knight RidersVS. Punjab Kings

RESULT:  Kolkata Knight Rider Beat Punjab Kings by 6 wickets

Kolkata Knight RidersVS. Punjab Kings: Friday evening at the wankhede stadium, we saw two captains Shreyas Iyer leading Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal ready to compete.

 It was a match where the pendulum was swinging towards both teams. Both teams had their chances. Again it was a wonderful display of bowling by Umesh Yadav. Who took four wickets thus reducing Kolkata Knight Riders to par score of 137.

While bowling though Rahul Chahhar tried their best from Punjab Kings  but Andrew Russel scored a counter-attack fifty  and ensured win for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) .

 It was a beautiful display of bollywood and cricket coming together in this match. There were two beautiful bollywood ladies Annaya Pandey and Suhana Khan wearing Kolkata Knight Riders jersey and supporting the Kolkata Knight Riders team led by Shreyas Iyer and he didn’t disappoint them. The crowd went crazy when Shreyas Iyer took the catch of Sharukh Khan and his celebrations made the crowd crazy. After taking the catch he looked at Suhana Khan and Ananya Pandey and made a pose of Sharukh Khan.

Match 9: Mumbai Indians VS. Rajasthan Royals

Date:  2.04.2022

Venue: DY Patil Stadium

RESULT: Rajasthan Royals  Beat Mumbai Indians by 23 runs

Player of the Match: Jos Buttler ( Rajasthan Royals)

Mumbai Indians VS. Rajasthan Royals: Mumbai Indians under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma who is regarded as one of the most successful captains of IPL so far was ready to bounce back alongside Sanju Samson the captain of Rajasthan Royals. 

The people at DY patil stadium were lucky to witness the first centurion of Tata IPL 2022. It was outstanding batting by Jos Buttler who blew the bowlers apart. Courtesy of that Rajasthan Royals managed to score 193 runs.

 We know that no total is big with Mumbai Indians batting line up especially if Rohit Sharma and kerion Pollard are in form. But they had a bad day in office and Mumbai Indians lost to Rajasthan Royals by 23 runs.

RESULT: Gujrat Titans   Beat Delhi Capitals by 14 runs

Gujrat Titans VS. Delhi Capitals: Gujrat Titans under the captainship of Hardik Pandya were all set to go against Delhi capitals captain Rishabh Pant . 

Gujarat Titans batting was led by opener Shubhnan Gill who scored 84 runs in just 46 balls and as it is said the tempo is usually set by the openers in cricket.

Chennai Super Kings VS.Punjab Kings : It was Chennai Superkings captain Ravindra Jadega who won the toss against Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal. 

Having won the toss for the first time it brought a smile on jadeja’s face. He elected to bowl first. It was a comprehensive win for punjab kings by 54 runs. It was an amazing bowling performance by Punjab Kings. Liam Livingstone had a wonderful performance with bat as well as with  the  ball.
